Sometime between late April and early May, six acres of bluebells burst into bloom creating a spectacular blue-carpet effect in Haughley Park Woods.
The gardens and woods are open for people to come and see this spectacular sight, on successive Sunday afternoons during this period.
This event is a fundraising event for Wetherden church, whose volunteers man the gate and serve teas and cakes in the Barn.

Filling many of the lawns, as well as the inside of the Barn, there are stalls ranging from Fine Furniture to Chainsaw Carving, and Musical Instrument making to Den-building.
There are plenty of food and refreshment providers, and workshops to keep children of all ages happy and busy. Adding to the atmosphere are the ‘spontaneous happenings’… come along to see what that means!

ABBA & The British Symphony Orchestra – Saturday 8th July
This musical spectacular salutes Sweden’s greatest export (not Ikea)… ABBA!
Adored for their sing-along anthems, nothing beats a night of good old-fashioned nostalgia and a full symphony orchestra belting out the Scandinavian ‘fab fours’ biggest hits!
Embark on a Super Trooper night, taking you from Waterloo to Dancing Queen via Mamma Mia! A beautifully poignant version of ‘Slipping Through My Fingers’ will delight you. ABBA’s success was down to the diversity in their music. Dance, cry or laugh, their songs encapsulate the whole of life.
Hear all the magic of ABBA in the rolling Suffolk countryside. You’ll be part of a truly unique occasion and be one of the very first to see this show performed in the open air!
Four decades on we’re still saying ‘Thank You For The Music’.
Elvis & The British Symphony Orchestra – Sunday 9th July
Elvis Presley always dreamed of singing with a full symphony orchestra.
Two years ago Elvis Presley Enterprises embarked on a new project, which ‘re-imagined’ his extensive back catalogue. Elvis’ most dramatic original performances augmented with lush new orchestral arrangements. The double albums, produced by Don Reedman and Nick Patrick have become hugely successful.
Hear all the magic of Elvis Presley in the rolling Suffolk countryside. You’ll be part of a truly unique occasion and be one of the very first to see this show performed in the open air! Take a journey through the upbeat, poignant and sometime tear-jerking sounds of The King. His encapsulating and enthralling music is only made better when set with the splendour of a classical concert orchestra.
